[report composed by the Syrian Revolution General Commission]
6th day of siege and bombardment – 3 martyrs up until 7:00 p.m [Syria time]
The military campaign against these 3 areas continues to target them for the 6th day in a row. Spy planes hovered at a low altitude over the area whilst MEG23 warplanes launched airstrikes, targeting residential houses. The areas that have been targeted are:
3] Al Nuqairah
4] Al Rabe’ah
5] Tal Al Shour
The Free Syrian Army continues to fight back the regime’s forces’ tireless and continuous attempts to invade and take control of the area. New reinforcements have been spotted in several parts of Homs, including military vehicles and artillery.
–Bombardment on Kufrayah:
The escalation and savagery of the bombardment forced many families, both residents and formerly displaced, to take shelter in asylums that lack the most basic needs for survival and are extremely over-crowded. These asylums also lack food and medicines.
Displaced civilians within are suffering from psychological traumas and disturbances due to the harrowing fear and terror they are living whilst the indiscriminate bombardment is still on. Do note that most of the displaced civilians are women and children.
The only makeshift hospital serving all these aforementioned areas lack the most basic needs and suffers from a scarcity in the medical cadre, especially in specialized doctors. There are many wounded civilians, mostly women and children, who are in an immediate need of life-saving surgeries but cannot be operated upon since there aren’t enough medical equipment/supplies.
–Bab Amr makeshift hospital: civilians wounded:
Up until 7:00 p.m. [Syria time], 3 martyrs fell. They are:
– Martyr Wael Hazzouri
– Martyr Omar Shahdeh
– Martyr Mohammad Al Muhammad
Do note that the regime’s Shabiha (thugs) stationed on barriers are harassing and terrorizing civilians who are attempting to flee the area; several of the civilians have been arrested according to their names on IDs. Arrest cases have specially taken place on the barrier located near Al Amal School. Several civilians from the following families have reportedly been arrested: Zqereet family, Al Halabi family, Shoufan family, and others.
Thus far, the bombardment still is ongoing.
